I use it to give myself graphics and funky font support in Emacs. <grin> I can't wait for my laptop to be fixed. Hard disk crash - ouch! People have been walking up to me and asking me what happened. Two, three days of going around kitted out in an M1 and a Twiddler, and it's already become part of my image. ;) On the plus side, there are lots of things I can't wait to try out. =) I've been sketching some ideas for Emacs modules to make my life easier, and the discovery that Emacs can have multiple frames with independent font sizes means I don't have to stay in screen -x'd xterms in order to enjoy easy switching from on-the-move big text to big-monitor tiny text. I'm also thinking of hitting a combo that makes my Emacs instantly black-and-white friendly - loading a different set of faces, perhaps? Am going to be getting in touch with the valedictorian a batch or two ahead of me. She's really brilliant, but she has a hard time doing some things like reading her text messages because she's blind. My mom thinks I might be able to help her do cool things with emacspeak and alamin, the GSM SMS gateway I picked up. =) Might be a good project... -- Sacha Chua <
