Anyone have a source for something like this? Definitely. I have 3 (no, you can't have 'em <G> I need 2-3 more, eventually.) These I have are Apricorn EZ-Gigs. My PC110's will boot off these hummers, even, so a disk on these is bootable (if your wearable will boot off a PCMCIA drive anyways, these won't preclude same.) http://www.apricorn.com/tpp/offer.htm for these, $59.00, "if you're an IBM user." They don't verify that you own an IBM, or ask you to say so, so that's not a bad deal. The ones I have don't have a casing, just a PCMCIA card and a cable to go to the HDD. Talk someone you know into getting one of these "laptop HDD upgrade kits", and letting you have the PCMCIA card when they're done upgrading? <G> The software these come with is something like Ghost, it's not necessary for day to day use. Can get these used for under that, when lucky. IBM makes these as well (See http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=245746822 for one you just missed earlier today.) Warrior.Com has a nice case with PCMCIA card at http://warrior.com/drivehard/ehd/index.html that covers your drive, they want $129.95 for it. > Second, I'm having some problems with my PCM/CIA slots in my laptop. I'm not a Win95 guru, but know someone who IS on IBM Thinkpads at least, so if no one else here can help, I can see if Dan has spare time and can help. I'm guessing some misconfiguration in each OS, Dan couldn't help on Linux (I think?), but surely someone else here can <G> > Thanks, > > Paul Archer Mark -- I re-ship for small US & overseas businesses, world-wide.
