Dave, 
	cant comment on the mounting of the board but as for the bootstrapping.
Since you cant connect a normal cdrom up to the board you'd be far
better of using a 2.5" to 3.5" HDD adapter and doing the install on your
desktop machine then swap the HDD back and do a fresh kernel build once
everything's on the biscuit. Alternatively if you've got network setup
on your main pc then you could transfer all the files over the ether net
to a spare partition and go about things from there.Either way would be
preferable I think to doing a floppy install.
