I have one of the NCR 3130 pen notebooks. The new idea is to wear it as a backpack instead of wearing a HUD or camera. The industrial use, padded case for this computer has a D ring at each corner, and the strap they call a neck strap can be configured as a back pack. The current trend in wearables is mini everything, right? You could walk around with an Osborne on your back if you wanted to.... but who would want to? The 3130 is about 3 lbs. The backpack orientation would be portriat orientation and that is supported under Win for Pen, and also a version of X Windows, I think. I figured that I could wear the unit as a backpack and have people fax or upload their ads to it for anyone to see on my back while I am walking from one point to another. I also have a 3125 combined with a Tandy DMP310 that could print ad pages on request from people nearby or on command from the fax or upload client. Sort of like taking that "push" advertising to people's eyes out in the "real world" while they are going about their business. I don't think you can patent a method of doing business. If anyone here thinks otherwise, please-- let me know. Yours, Doug Goncz Replikon Research, Fairfax County, VA Tidbits: If your dreams are lurid and vivid do you call them livid?
