Re: Do Portable battery-powered) Scanners Exist?

The closest I have seen to a portable battery powered scanner is the Microtek
CoolScan C3. I hefted one in Best Buy yesterday. It sure is light. They claim
7.7 pounds. The marking on the DC power jack said 12V 1A. I have a 12V gel
battery in my moped that I intend to bring to librarys all around the DC area.
It has an inverter on it to power my laptop.

That's the closest I have seen. Does anyone know which laptops use 12 VDC?
