Your best bet is the M1 HMD from LiquidImage:

   http://www.liquidimage.ca/m1.html ($600)

even though this display is only 320x240 256colors b/w.

The other alternatives are to use the eyepiece from a camcorder and buy
a vga->ntsc converter, but most people are disappointed with the
resolution. see detailed instructions:

  http://www.wearcomp.org/

The last alternative is to buy any of the low end VR headsets like the

Sony Glasstron VR glasses
  http://www.sony.co.jp/ProductsPark/Consumer/TV/Glasstron/profile.html
  ($600)

or the VIO iGlasses
  http://www.vio.com/
  (~$1000)

but these are opaque glasses and you can't walk around with them on. At
least you shouldn't. ;)

Lastly, you can build an arm mounted, or other mounted LCD display which
has the advantage of using less power than most HMDs. Orang-Otang has an
arm mounted 1/4 vga display (similar resolution as M1 above):

  (?)

There are other solutions out there, but I can't remember them off the
top of my head.
